Our Patient Care Technician combination class consists of four classes for a discounted price. The four classes include Certified Nurse Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician and BLS CPR class.

Our Certified Nurse Assistant program encompasses lectures, labs, and clinical experiences. Lectures and labs are conducted on campus, while clinical sessions are held at a nearby nursing home. We provide flexible scheduling with both daytime and evening options available for students.

Additionally, our Phlebotomy and EKG Technician programs offer a hybrid format combining online instruction with hands-on lab sessions. Lectures are delivered via our online platform, with lab activities such as blood draws and EKG readings scheduled at specific times in our facilities. Students have four weeks to complete the online coursework at their convenience, followed by another four weeks to fulfill all practical lab requirements.

The curriculum covers a broad range of topics including healthcare environments, team dynamics, basic nursing skills, anatomy, safety protocols, medical terminology, effective communication strategies, infection prevention, and introductory phlebotomy and EKG techniques. This includes detailed instruction on equipment use and specimen handling. Upon completing the program, students are eligible to take the National Certification Examination for Patient Care Technicians. Our program is designed to provide clear, step-by-step instruction to ensure success for all students, regardless of previous medical training or experience.

What is the cost of the Patient care technician Program?

Patient Care Technician Program for just $3,050. This meticulously designed course equips you with the essential skills and knowledge required for excellence in patient care. You will need to acquire textbooks for the Phlebotomy Technician, Certified Nurse Assistant, and EKG Technician classes independently.

Securing your place in this class is straightforward. We require a $300 deposit at the time of application to secure your seat in the class, with the remaining balance due on or before the first day of class.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will qualify to sit for the national certification exam.

How do I register for the Patient care technician Program?

To register for the Patient Care Technician class we require a $500 deposit to secure your spot. At the time of registration you will be required to fill out a registration packet as well as place your deposit. What does a Patient Care Technician (PCT) do?

A patient care technician is an allied health professional who provides direct care in various settings. Their responsibilities include basic nursing tasks, ECGs, and phlebotomy. Basic duties involve measuring vital signs, assisting with personal care such as bathing and toileting, and helping patients maintain daily living activities to support functional independence.
